About PhysioForte

PhysioForte is a brand-new physiotherapy practice that needed its first website to stand out in a competitive local market. The goal was to build trust, communicate expertise, and make booking appointments easy — all with a clean, modern, user-friendly design.

PhysioForte wasn’t just another clinic — it was founded by a team of experienced physiotherapists who wanted to bring modern, personalized physiotherapy to patients in the comfort of their own homes. They believed in combining professional expertise with warm, individualized care — values that needed to be reflected online.

The founders knew that many people hesitate to seek physiotherapy because they fear complicated processes, unclear pricing, or impersonal clinics. They wanted their website to reassure visitors that PhysioForte comes to them, on their terms, with clear communication and professional support.

UX/UI Designer & Developer

Designing PhysioForte’s very first website was a rewarding challenge and a turning point in my journey from graphic design to UX/UI. I was trusted to translate the clinic’s caring, personal approach into a digital experience that would help new patients feel at ease and ready to take the next step toward recovery.

Here’s how I brought PhysioForte’s vision to life

  • Translated the physiotherapist’s vision and brand values into a user-friendly digital experience.Researched local competitors and user needs to shape the site’s structure and content.
  • Planned clear user flows and created wireframes to map out each page.
  • Designed high-fidelity screens and interactive prototypes in Figma.Applied my graphic design experience to craft a clean, calm, and trustworthy visual style.
  • Focused on mobile-first design to serve patients searching on their phones.
  • Made strategic UI choices to ensure every detail — colors, typography, CTAs — builds trust and encourages bookings.
  • Managed feedback rounds and delivered a final website that makes it easy for patients to connect and book appointments confidently.

Expanded Research Story

Before opening Figma, I spent time researching how local patients find and choose physiotherapy services:
  • Many rely on Google searches and online reviews.
  • They want to understand who will treat them, what to expect, and how to book easily.
  • They value clear, jargon-free language, especially older visitors who may be less comfortable online.
I also studied 5–6 competitor websites in the area:
  • Many had generic stock photos, missing or hidden contact info, and dense blocks of text.
  • Very few highlighted home physiotherapy, which was PhysioForte’s unique strength.
These insights shaped my design goals: create trust immediately, make information easy to scan, and highlight home visits as the clinic’s differentiator.

UI Design Details

Visual language:

The spine-and-leaf logo inspired the color palette — calming green tones to evoke growth, health, and nature. This reinforced the idea that PhysioForte helps patients heal naturally and comfortably, at home.

Imagery:

A key part of designing PhysioForte’s website was making sure every visual felt real, relevant, and reassuring. Instead of using generic stock images that felt cold or staged, I wanted the site’s visuals to reflect authentic physiotherapy scenarios that patients could actually relate to. To achieve this, I used Leonardo AI to create custom images inspired by real cases of physiotherapy treatments. This allowed me to:
  • Show realistic patient–therapist interactions that match the clinic’s warm, personal approach.
  • Avoid overused stock photos that lack local or personal context.
  • Craft images that fit perfectly with the brand’s calming color palette and visual style.
  • Build trust by helping visitors see themselves in the imagery — whether recovering at home or working with a caring professional.
  • Keep the site cohesive, unique, and distinct from competitors with outdated or generic visuals.
Combining these AI-generated visuals with thoughtful layout and white space brought the entire site to life — giving PhysioForte a fresh, human touch that supports their promise of professional, personalized care at home.

Typography:

Accessible, large headings and clean body text for older users. No clutter, no tiny text.

Microinteractions:

Buttons and CTAs are clear and large enough to tap comfortably on mobile.

Reflection & Learnings

This project was an important milestone in my shift from graphic design to UX/UI design. It taught me how to:
  • Turn research insights into clear content structures.
  • Apply design principles for trust and usability.
  • Collaborate with developers using professional handoff techniques.
  • Manage stakeholder feedback at every step.
I look forward to applying these skills to larger, more complex projects and continuing to grow as a UX/UI designer.
